The former UK leader, launched the inaugural episode of her online program with a promise to unmask "the evil-doers" attempting to undermine the UK, United States and European nations. She explained she would lay bare how an "global web of leftists operate to subvert popular rule and the public's choice."

Before the show's launch, there was a strong advocate. "This marks the start of a sort of revolution," stated the controversial US journalist. His conservative Just the News platform will host the former prime minister's new podcasts.
Building Connections in the Maga Media Ecosystem
British fellow travellers, featuring a counselor supportive of Reform, assisted in her establish the Truss's program. The setup is professional, though simple. Truss has amassed a subscriber base of 10k in her first week and her premiere achieved 67,000 views in that timeframe.
It is a modest start, but in making common cause with John Solomon, Truss is being pushed into a well-developed conservative ecosystem generating and disseminating Make America Great Again themes. Its obsessions encompass alleged censorship by the established press and a goal to eradicate a shadowy government apparatus – which she attributes her downfall to for the abrupt termination of her short and troubled leadership.
"Solomon's outlet is not famous outside of the pro-Trump media sphere, but it does have gravitas there, largely because of Solomon, who gives commentary on conservative outlets like Bannon's 'War Room' podcast and has even interviewed Donald Trump," commented Alex Hinton, who has extensively researched the Make America Great Again phenomenon.
A Divisive Associate
The former PM's foray to import Maga media to the United Kingdom has pushed her closer to contentious individuals such as Solomon.
He founded his media outlet following backlash when allegations surfaced of promoting misleading narratives about Joe Biden's anticorruption effort in the Ukraine, as well as disputed reports about the former US ambassador to that country.
These allegations were echoed throughout the pro-Trump media, with he featuring as a frequent visitor on Sean Hannity's influential Fox News program. The former president personally boosted Solomon's reporting.
He wrote the allegations regarding Ukraine in a set of articles for the publication The Hill, after having been re-labelled as a columnist after colleagues complained regarding his reporting. His claims were key in Trump's demand for the Ukrainians to look into the Biden family in 2019. These actions culminated in impeachment proceedings against the president. The Senate later acquitted the president.
Not long after the journalist departed the Hill in late 2019, the outlet announced it was performing a examination of his reporting about Ukrainian matters. It determined he had cited untrustworthy contacts and stated he "omitted key facts about key Ukrainian sources, such as the reality that they had been indicted or were being probed."
Entering the Ecosystem

He talked about his support for Truss's project on a broadcast he helps run on the right-wing channel, a conservative television outlet that is where you find the conservative firebrand former adviser Steve Bannon and on which Tucker Carlson also appears. Truss has already hosted the political operative on one of her first podcasts.
Through her association with the journalist and his outlet, she has become a niche participant in a much wider network of right-wing publications that frequently share and promote one another's material.

A Cross-Border Foray
Even though Truss's stilted style and professional woes have drawn derision in Britain, a number of stateside commentators are taking seriously her efforts to revamp her image as a British branch of the Make America Great Again press.
"You have to take folks like that seriously, even if you may not want to interpret them word-for-word," said Rob Flaherty, who worked in the Obama White House.
"Observers witnessed how in the recent campaign Donald Trump utilized that alternative press to get his message out. Without a doubt that ecosystem spreads and shapes discourse abroad. It looks fairly obvious to me that the circumstances in the UK are akin to what enabled this parallel press sphere to thrive in America."
Alan Finlayson, said the online conservative ecosystem was already making its presence felt in the UK.
"Digital media knows no borders," he said. "There's a kind milieu within which stuff flows – at times taking an extreme form and other times more moderately – but which is networked."
The academic said the growth of the internet-based right wing in the UK recently meant the "potential to have a growing impact is substantial."
